Bělušice – salla terrena
Bělušice was mentioned by Vít from Bělušice in the year 1231. It was established a fortress in the 14th century there, which was controlled by princes from Chožov and by family Charvát from Berštejn in the 16th century. The last from the family – Elisabeth was married by Carl Chotka from Chotkov in the year 1620. It became the property of family Chotka to the year 1925, when the land-reform was made. Then it was owned by family Baňek to the year 1948 and gave them back in the restitution after the year 1990. In the area of the fortress was restored the salla terrena on costs of private owner.
Bílina
The town Bílina lies in the north-west Bohemia, between towns Most and Teplice. You can visit the Royal Garden, The Valley of Žižka, the nook of Bezovka together with the woody park Kyselka here. The dominant of the town and its surroundings is the massive Bořeň, which became the state natural reservation. Children find woody tale creatures in the fabulous wood.
Blšany
This village is the smallest seat of the first league football club in the world. There is playing handball, ninepins and ice-hockey on the high level.
Českokamenicko
The association of villages in Českokamenicko, where belongs 13 villages and towns, was founded on the nice place between the towns Děčín and Nový Bor. It is the area of sand-stone rocks and basaltic hills, compacted woods and beautiful villages with a wealthy tradition of glass and textile industry. The centre of this area is the town Česká Kamenice, where you can visit the information centre of Českokamenicko and get here many informatioun about this area.
Český Jiřetín
The community was founded in the year 1592 as the community of wood-cutters. In the lower part of the community there stood the Church of St. John Baptist, which was there removed in the year 1969 from the afloat community Fláje. It is the folk monument from the half of the 16th century. Český Jiřetín is the last mountain community on the east margin of the region Most. There are good conditions for winter recreation, ski-slopes with lifts and serves as the starting point of the arterial for cross-country skiing to Moldava.
The Fláje ´s water dam was established in years 1954 -1963 for delivery of drinking water to Most and Teplice regions. The community Fláje was flooded by the Fláje ´s dam. The first mention about this community came from the year 1346, when it belonged to the bishoprice.
It was floated wood there to the Saxony for the production of woody coal.
Děčín
The dominant of Děčín is the castle with a slim tower, which is located above the junction of the rivers Ploučnice and Labe. To the castle and the Pink garden you can get by the remarkable journey called Dlouhá jízda (The Long Ride), which is the unique work of the baroque architecture in Bohemia. In Děcín you can visit the zoo and the Provincial Museum, which is oriented to the history of the navigation in Labe – the exposition about the development of the marine transport in Labe.
Chlumec
The Napoleon ´s battle field in the area Chlumec, Přestanov and Telnice remind mainly memorials. The biggest battle took place there during the time of the Napoleon ´s wars in Czech area in the year 1813.
Chomutov
Chomutov lies on the foothill of the Krušné mountains, near by the boarder with Germany. We can characterize it as the important transport junction, the economy and administrative centre of the region. There are preserved many historic sightseeing in the middle of the town, which created the memorial zone. The most valuable sightseeing is the gothic church of St. Katherine. Many people visit the Podkrušnohorský zoopark and the Kamencové lake. Chomutov is the start point for trips to the Krušné mountain, Kadaň, Klášterec nad Ohří and the Nechranická water dum.
Jirkov
The town Jirkov lies under the Krušné mountain, near by the provincial town Chomutov. The town is known for its choirs, e. g. the Jirkovský children choir (which was established in the year 1946), the Vox Cantabilis or the Anonymous singing association, etc. In the town you can visit two galleries, one in the Red Castle and the second is the Gallery of the town Jirkov.
There are many possibilities of sport – bathing, cycling, skiing, etc. The Red Castle offers many culture actions during the season.
Kadaň
The town Kadaň lies at the margin, where the river Ohře leaves the Krušné and Doupovské mountains. The fist written mention came from the 12th century. From three entrance gates is preserved only one – gothic, later renaissance rebuilt gate, the Mikolov ´s gate. On the square are handed the arcade and the gothic court of houses down. Some renaissance building came from the period of development of the town – from the 16th century. The most valuable place is the previous Franciscan Monastery from the year 1473, which is used for museum purposes these days.
Klášterec nad Ohří
The town lies on the bank of the river Ohře, 36 km from Karlovy Vary. The town offers interesting and wealthy history, marked tourist paths, relax and cultural self-realisation. The most interesting place is the castle, which lies in the centre of the old town and is surrounded by a beautiful English park. In the castle there are exhibits of Chinesse, Japanese, European and mainly Czech porcelain. The 2nd biggest porcerlain-factory in Bohemia was founded here in the year 1794 and it still produces. You can relax in the new rebuilt area with the bath house Evženie, which offers two mineral springs.
Klíny
The community was established in the year 1355 and should obtain the name Mount of St. Wenceslas. Klíny is the centre of winter sports – there are ski-slopes with several ski-lifts, the Krušnohorský ski arterial. You find there cottage settlements and recreational cottages. With the community are connected settlements Sedlo and Rašov. It is situated cca 8 km from Litvínov.
Litoměřice
This are obtained the attribute the Garden of Bohemia in the 17th century. There are beautiful castles - Ploskovice and Libochovice, the water castle Budyně nad Ohří, the small castle Hlefenburk, view-towers Lovoš, Mostná hora, Varhošť, and the others. For recreation are used the lake Chmelař in Úštěk, an afloat sand pit in Píšťany and the Sport-centre in Račice.
Litvínov
The town lies under the Krušné mountain. There are many cycling lines, which go to the Krušnohorská artery to the border with Germany, tennis courts, and the others grounds. The town lives mainly with ice-hockey. The oldest object is the Church of St. Michael Archangel, which was built in baroque style in the year 1694. The second oldest preserved building is the Valdštejn ´s castle.
Louny
The town Louny, one of the pearls on the third biggest Czech river Ohře, was founded on the place of the prehistoric settlement on the old ford through this river. Václav I. deserved to promotion of the settlement to the town in the year 1253. Visitors can see here many historic sightseeing, culture facilities, visit Jazz evenings in the hotel Union and the other program in the House of Culture and the Baroque Hospital. In the surroundings lies Cítoliby, Slavětín, Peruc, Raná and the others.
Most
The original town Most disappeared from a map many years ago, but it was established the new Most. The town tries to remind the historic bases with a preserved plague column of St. Anna Samotřetí. The dominant of the town is the peak Hněvín with a castle. You can visit the water basin Benedikt, vineyards in Chrámce, the castle Jezeří, the natural reservation the Sound peak and Milá too.
Stadice
The village Stadice lies in the valley of the river Bílina. Princess Libuše called on the Czech throne Přemysl Oráč from this place and then lived in the castle near by Opárno. In the village there is situated the national cultural memory – The Memorial of Přemysl Oráč. Near by this place is located the Roayl spring.
Teplice
The town Teplice has a wealthy history of the European and World known bath. You find here a lot of fun, culture, parks and fountains, restaurants and coffee-rooms – it is called small Paris. There is very interesting architecture of secession and empire buildings in the town. You can visit many historic places and beautiful nature. Many people visit the Royal square with the plague column from the year 1718, which was made by Matyáš B. Braun. Teplice are known with its production of ceramic and glass. There are good conditions for tourism and sports all the year round too. Between the most significant visitors belong Goethe, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt.
Teplicko
Teplicko is known for its castle in Teplice and in Duchov, the baroque Lobkovic ´s castle in Bílina, the hunting castle Dvojhradí, the Cisterian Monastery in Osek. You can visit the Komáří vížkou at 809 m sea level too, where you can get by a chair lift (the longest in Czech Republic). To Doubravka, Bořeň, Bouřňák, Pramenáč you have to walk and there you can see very interesting subjects like stony suns.
Ústí nad Labem
Ústí nad Labem became the royal town by the year 11240. So it belongs to the oldest royal towns in Bohemia. You can visit there many castle, manors, sightseeing, e. g. The Town Museum (1876) – it manages expanded archaeological, historic, art and natural colletctions; The Town Theatre (1909) with a healthy theatre history; The Muzeum of Folk Architecture Zubrnice together with the Zubrnice ´s Museum Railway; the ZOO garden (1908), etc. There are many kilometers of tousits paths, cycling lines, cross-country tracks and ski-slopes.
Varnsdorf
The history of Varnsdorf came from the 14th century. It belonged to the Tolštejn manor. It is known for the development of a weaving, mainly for production of cord. Today it is one of the biggest industry centre in north Bohemia.
Žatec
Žatecko is fruitful area with good climatic conditions. The town is wealthy for archaeological discoveries, which are documented in the regional museum. The extended exposition of museum is devoted to the period, when Celtic tribes lived in this area. The town earned thanks crafts, agriculture and trade. Later Žatec was known as the hop growing region. You can visit the Latinská school, where worked Jan from Žatec in the year 1400, the author of the work Ploughman from Bohemia.
